3 Keys to Fulfillment

Welcome to this weeks newsletter - 3 Keys to Fulfillment

3 Keys to Fulfilment

Does this resonate with you?

On the outside, everything looks fine. But on the inside, something feels like it’s missing.

You’ve achieved incredible things in life and overcome so much, but you still struggle with imposter syndrome.

Whenever you achieve something, it never quite feels enough.

You never truly feel fulfilled, and you’re unsure whether what you’re doing each day is contributing to anything meaningful.

If so, don’t worry, I can relate.

For years of my life, I felt exactly the same as described above. And I’ve also worked closely with many men who have experienced the same thing.

But through doing the inner work on myself, I’ve been able to not only achieve great things, but also experience real fulfillment along the way.

So every goal, action, and step forward actually feels meaningful.

And that’s what I want to share with you today, the three keys that helped me do it.

Key 1 - Purpose

The first key to fulfillment is purpose.

For a long time in my life, I lacked purpose. I was drifting through life with no real direction, no clear goals, and no strong reason to push myself to become better.

When you live like that, it’s very easy to feel unfulfilled, because even if you achieve things, you’re not sure why you’re doing them or what they are building towards.

Everything changed for me when I started creating a clear sense of purpose for my life.

Through my own experience, and through working with many clients, I’ve realised that purpose isn’t something you find or discover, it’s something you create.

And one of the best ways to create purpose is by asking yourself three simple questions.

1. Who do you want to be?

If you could describe the ideal version of yourself, who would that person be?

How would they look?
What traits and habits would they practice?
What skills would they develop?

For example:

Disciplined • Consistent • A leader • Wealthy • Healthy • Present • Confident

When you put together the ideal version of yourself, it gives you clarity like nothing else.

Because once you know who you want to become, it becomes much easier to answer the second question.

2. What goals does that person achieve?

If you want to become healthy, disciplined, wealthy, or consistent, what goals would that person be achieving?

For example:

• Running a 10km
• Losing weight
• Hitting certain figures at work
• Earning a promotion

It becomes much easier to understand what you want to achieve when you know exactly who you want to be.

And that leads to the most important question of all.

3. What is your why?

What is the real reason you need to show up every single day and become the best version of yourself?

What would make showing up as your best self a necessity rather than an option?

Your why needs to cut deep and emotionally resonate with you.

To help you think about this, ask yourself:

• Who are you letting down by not showing up?
• What pain are you tired of experiencing?
• What excites you about the life you could build?
• Do you want to help others or make a difference?

Your why will be different to someone else’s.

But when it truly clicks, it becomes the driving force that pushes you to become the person you want to be and achieve the goals you’ve set for your life.

When you have a clear sense of purpose, it gives you vision, clarity, and a reason to push yourself like no other.

Key 2 - Values

The second key to fulfillment is living in alignment with your values.

Understanding what you truly value in life — and then ensuring your actions reflect those values — is one of the most powerful things you can do for your well-being, motivation, and fulfillment.

When you live in alignment with your values and how you see yourself in life, you are living congruently.

And when you are congruent, you naturally feel:

• More fulfilled
• More energised
• More focused
• More productive
• More effective
• Happier

But when you live in a way that goes against your values, you become incongruent.

And this can have the opposite effect.

You may start to feel:

• Low motivation
• Confusion
• Frustration
• Anxiety
• A lack of direction

Let me give you an example.

My personal values are:

Growth • Family • Freedom • Achievement • Learning • Contribution

So I see myself as someone who is constantly growing, spending quality time with his family, achieving meaningful things, learning, living with freedom, and contributing to others.

If I start living in a way that goes against those values — if I stop growing, neglect my family, avoid learning, or stop pushing myself to achieve — I feel it immediately.

My motivation drops.
My energy drops.
I can start to feel anxious.

And over time, that misalignment can even lead to feeling low or unfulfilled.

But when I’m living in alignment with my values and being congruent with who I believe I am, everything feels different.

My energy increases.
My focus improves.
My motivation returns.
And life starts to feel meaningful again.

This is why values are so important.

They act as an internal compass, guiding your decisions, behaviour, and the way you spend your time.

For example, imagine someone whose values are:

Success • Freedom • Health • Family

But their daily actions look like this:

• They neglect their health
• They avoid progress in their career
• They spend very little time with their family

This creates an internal conflict, because their actions are not aligned with what they truly value.

And this misalignment leads to incongruence.

But when your actions reflect your values, you create alignment — and that alignment creates fulfillment.

So take some time to ask yourself:

What do I truly value in life?

Because when your values become clear, your decisions become easier, your direction becomes clearer, and living a fulfilling life becomes far more achievable.

Key 3 - Self Validation

The third key to fulfillment is self-validation.

For many people, the reason they never truly feel fulfilled is because they are constantly looking for validation from outside of themselves.

When you lack self-validation, two things usually happen.

You begin to seek validation externally,  chasing achievements, approval, or recognition from others.

Or you feel constantly dissatisfied with your progress, believing you must achieve more before you can finally feel fulfilled.

Both become a losing game.

Because no matter how much you achieve, if you are relying on external validation, it will never feel like enough.

True fulfillment comes when you learn how to validate yourself.

Self-validation means:

• Pursuing goals that are meaningful to you
• Recognising how far you’ve come
• Acknowledging your progress, no matter how big or small

It means measuring your life not just by the outcomes you achieve, but by the effort you put in, the person you are becoming, and the progress you are making along the way.

What many people get wrong is believing that fulfillment only comes once they achieve something.

But fulfillment doesn’t come from the destination.

Fulfillment comes when your life is aligned with your purpose, your values, and your ability to recognise your own progress along the way.

The Takeaway

I hope this resonated with you today, because I know how frustrating it can be when you’re someone who is putting in the work.

You’ve achieved incredible things.
You’ve overcome adversity.
You’re great at what you do.
You have so much in life and so much to offer.

Yet you keep coming back to a place of unfulfillment, dissatisfaction, or even burnout.

If this is you, it’s clear that achievement isn’t the problem.

What you need to master is the art of fulfillment.

As mentioned, if you’d like to watch the free masterclass linked to this blog, where I break down each key and share the exact frameworks I use to implement them, you can access it below:
